let me explain: We tend to have treats at the elevators inside our apartment buildings for our residents (this is done as a part of our apartment events/resident care). We decided that we would put chocolate chip cookies at the elevators this time and each of the 5 elevators started out with a basket.....that was until residents started taking them! I just when to go and pick them up and there are ONLY 2 LEFT!!! What? Why? It makes me not want to do that anymore! and to top it off I started to use gift bags as "baskets" in the buildings where a basket has disappeared....and someone took those too this time! I am soo mad! how rude can you be when someone has taken the time to individually wrap every cookie for you to have a treat to end your work week?
Anyhow......
This week has been a very long one for both of us. Stu is at Camp .... D and I miss him lot! I have started my summer internship with Bravo Interior Design and it has been a wonderful week! I have already done so much and have seen beautiful fabrics and amazing furniture...and rugs that could buy a house. (no really....i didn't want to walk on it!) Okay, so BID has one client who wants only the best of the best for her new home which they just bought next to the 360 bridge which can be viewed from the upstairs office. Meredith, the assistant designer at BID walked me through the house the other day (the client is still living in Chicago and has not yet moved into the house... so it wasn't weird for us to randomly walk around their house) and inside there are two area rugs that when combined are over 250 years old....and the prices are pretty much equal to their ages! (followed by a comma and 3 zeros.....and some change) It was amazing! And I get to help develop a concept for their media room. (the whole house is styled French Country) I look forward to the wonderful things that this internship will bring....there will be more to come....right now I ready for a little me time because working a full time job is hard work....
oh and D is looking a little thinner these days...
